This capital reconstruction modernized a critical Lower Manhattan corridor adjacent to 7 World Trade Center and adjacent security facilities while addressing post-Sandy flooding vulnerabilities. The scope included new catch basins and sewer manholes for flood mitigation, 950 linear feet of ductile iron water main including lead main replacement, joint-bid utility coordination, roadway reconstruction with ADA-compliant pedestrian access, and new street lighting and traffic signals.
